Meet our fantastic teachers: we have handpicked some of Sweden's most prominent musicians and educators!
Stockholm

Philip Bergström
Philip is a violinist educated at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. During his studies he received several scholarships, including from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. He freelances in several different ensembles and contexts, both in classical music and improvisational music. He is currently studying composition & arranging at KMH, as well as violin pedagogy at SMI in Stockholm. As a violin pedagogue, he adapts the teaching to the student's needs and wishes, with a focus on developing musicality in parallel with violin technique, regardless of genre.

Sofia Lärkfors
Sofia received her bachelor's degree from the jazz department with a focus on singing at the Royal Academy of Music in the spring of 2020. During her years as a freelance musician, she has explored many different genres and expressions. Sofia is primarily focused on jazz, pop music and ballads. She will begin her master's degree in composition at the Royal Academy of Music in the fall of 2024 and has written commissioned works for various choirs and other ensembles. As a singing teacher, she works based on the students' needs, which can be anything from singing technique, genre breadth to stage presence.

Maja Korp
Maja is a classical pianist and the founder of A-Vista Musikskola. She was educated at Edsberg Manor, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. She has received several awards and scholarships, including from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. For several years, Maja has worked as a freelance soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist, collaborating with opera, ballet, and instrumentalists. She has several years of experience teaching students from beginner to professional level.

Herdís Ágústa Linnet
Herdís Ágústa Linnet is a pianist from Iceland with a bachelor's and master's degree in classical piano from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. She has appeared as a soloist with one of Iceland's leading youth orchestras in Edvard Grieg's piano concerto and performed with the Royal Technology Choir in Stockholm. Herdís has received several prestigious scholarships, including Iceland's largest for piano students. She also composes choral music and arranges Icelandic folk music. With her extensive teaching experience, Herdís is a valued and sought-after piano teacher.

Matilda Gratte
Matilda is a musician, songwriter and producer educated at Berkley College of Music and Musikmakarna Songwriting Academy. She has written music for Loreen, Linnea Henriksson and Tjuvjakt, and her own piano music has over 50 million streams on Spotify. As a singer and pianist, she has toured with Zara Larsson and Ed Sheeran. Matilda is also a choir director and private teacher in singing and piano. Matilda's teaching combines theory and practice and is adapted to the student's wishes. (Note: Matilda only teaches in her own studio).

August Petrén
August Petrén is a pianist and music producer with a classical background and extensive experience in jazz, improvisation and chord playing. He graduated from the music production program at the Royal Academy of Music in 2024 and teaches both classical and modern music.

Ludwig Störholt
"Mitt huvudfokus är klassisk musik av vilket jag studerat på HSM i Göteborg, men hyser ett stort intresse för andra genrer som jazz, blues, folkmusik och improvisation. Jag anser att musiken inte har några gränser och att man kan ha stor nytta av att röra sig inom flera olika genrer. Jag ger lektioner med elevens egna genuina intresse i absolut största fokus. Utöver klassisk musik och ovan nämnda genrer är jag väl bekant med musikteori, arrangering, komposition och musikproduktion. Jag erbjuder lektioner för både nybörjare och mer erfarna pianister som vill fördjupa sina kunskaper inom klassisk musik, teknik, notläsning, jazz, komposition, musikteori och/eller mer allmänt pianospel som att kunna ackompanjera sig själv eller andra."
